Section 1.8 of Victoria Police's current Prohibited Weapons Act prohibits anyone from possessing Capsicum spray or a Tasers, which is sending many Victorians in the direction of sport stores, with baseball bat sales in Melbourne at an all time high.

But what about the elderly, disabled & single women who may not have the strength to effectively use a baseball bat in self defence? An amendment to Victoria's Prohibited Weapons Act could allow capsicum spray & tasers [such as the one above that can be shipped to Australia] to be used in the case of self defence, where the victim is often much physically weaker than the attacker.
