The stolen generation - Fact Vs Fiction
January, the time of year when the regressive left get extra noisy with their narrative that every last drop of Australia's history is filled with racist, misogynistic white men who were only interested in raping the land & murdering whoever stood in their way, all the while burning our flag & harping on about "invasion day". Where are articles about one of Australia's first free citizens John Macarthur & the Rum Rebellion he lead against the NSW Governor Bligh [documentary provided below], or how about an article remembering the 235 Australians who died on the 19th of February 1942 when over 200 Japanese planes bombed Darwin & it's harbour, all pieces of Australia's history the regressive left seem to care little about.
When the mentally unstable Kevin Rudd apologized for the "stolen generation" did he do more harm than good? Western Australia's Police Commissioner would say yes. In an interview with local radio late last year Police Commissioner Karl O'Callaghan raised concerns that there are currently Aboriginal children living in inappropriate situations because no one wants to remove them for fears of being labelled another "stolen generation". Children are suffering because of politically correctness gone mad.
The history of the "stolen generation" is portrayed as some kind of attempt to wipe out the Aboriginal race, when in truth children [some well into their teens] were being removed from neglectful or abusive families, the younger children being moved into institutions while the majority of the teenagers would be placed into apprenticeships. There we're also laws put in places to prevent Caucasian & Asian people having children with full blooded aboriginals from the communities in what was documented as an attempt to keep the culture & traditions of the Aboriginal people alive.
DOCS [Department of Child Services] is not perfect now & I'm sure it wasn't early last century either, but when missionaries & government officials between 1900-1920 found girls as young as 9-10 along the Kimberly coast that had been sexually abused many carrying venereal diseases, after being used as prostitutes by their parents to merchant sailors,, was it not in their best interest to be removed, educated & employed?
