History of the Australian patriot movement
After concerns with violent jihad being carried out across the world in the name of Islam reaching boiling point after Man Monis, a man who swore his allegiance to ISIS held 18 Australians hostage inside a Sydney cafe in December 2015. For sixteen hours Australia watched in horror as hostages were forced to hold an Islamic flag up for the MSM's cameras, the terrorist spreading his fear across Sydney with false bomb threats, causing even more of the city to go into lock down.
Around 2AM after police heard a loud bang that was Man Monis firing his shotgun at hostages trying to escape, that is when police stormed the building. When the dust settled we had lost two Australians, Tori Johnson the 34 year old manager of the Lindt Cafe who had bravely helped other escape during the siege was shot by Man Monis, Katrina Dawson a barrister died after being struck by bullet fragments during the police raid, a charity has been setup in her honour here.
Four months later Australians poured from the internet onto the streets after the Facebook page Reclaim Australia held rallies all over Australia calling for an end to violent jihad, reckless Islamic immigration & against a government that was ignoring a problem many could see, in fear of being labelled politically incorrect. The largest of the nation wide rallies was held in Melbourne, hundreds of Australian fed up with Islam were surrounded by a large police force to protect them from Antifa, No Room For Racism thugs who were attacking patriots young & old simply for attending the rally.
The disgusting show of force shown by the regressive left on the streets of Melbourne paid & organized for by lovely "politicians" like Yarra City councillor Stephen Jolly, Socialist representive Anthony Main & Senator Lee Rhiannon was broadcast nonstop for weeks to come leaving many average mums & dads scared to attend any sort of street protest again, this is where the UPF was born.
Newton's third law came into play again with many Australians, deeply disgusted after watching the violent regressive left pushing our countries elderly around, they wanted to protect the right to publicly demonstrate even if it meant standing between the thugs & those that are trying to peacefully protest. Just weeks later Blair Cottrell, Neil Erikson, Thomas Sewell, "The Great Aussie Patriot" & a small group bravely marched into Richmond [the heart of the regressive left] under the banner of the UPF. While completely outnumbered UPF did exactly what they set out do to, the showed the disgusting violent behaviour used against anyone who steps outside of the bounds of political correctness in Melbourne, as they were all faced with physical confrontations despite the massive police presence.
As 2015 was coming to an end we were seeing UPF & Reclaim Australia cementing their place as a legitimate voice in Australian society, both street movements were featured on Channel 7's Sunday Night program in a poor attempt to discredit the groups but the "expose" backfired brilliantly, seeing the popularity of both groups Facebook pages skyrocket. On the back of wave of popularity provided by the MSM who have set out to demonise the movement, UPF held it's first rally in the regional Victorian town of Bendigo. Councillors in the large regional city were ignoring the concerns of locals over plans for a large mosque to be built in the town, so hundreds took to the streets of Bendigo on two seperate occasions, severely outnumbering the regressive left that had outnumbered the UPF only a few short months prior.
The movement based around patriotism & a love for western culture has had win after win with Brexit, Trump's election & One Nation's rise back to power in Australia. It's impossible for anyone to suggests where this may all lead but there's one thing that is definite, a fire has awoken in the heart's of the West that is not going anywhere not matter how often the regressive left attempt to extinguish it. The tide has truly turned in the last few years, here's to an even more successful 2017.
Blair Cottrell, Shermon "Great Aussie Patriot" Burgess, Neil Erikson, Nick Folkes, Daniel Evans, Ralph Cerminara & many more I've forgotten a long the way were the key voices speaking out against the problems with Islam, but 2016 saw a voice return with more power than them all combined, Pauline Hanson. The straight shooting, unapologetic fish & chip shop owner turned politician was elected to the Australia Senate after she was willing to voice the concerns of many inside the patriot movement, something that no other politician was doing. Senator Hanson has called for a ban on all Islamic immigration to Australia, a ban on the burqa & removal of the scam that is halal certification.
