Look who opposed a Senate inquiry into banks stealing Aussie farms
The patron saint of Australia, Senator Pauline Hanson has introduced a motion to the Senate asking for the establishment of a "Select Committee into Lending to Primary Production Customers" in a hope to expose the underhanded tactics being used by the banks to foreclose & acquire Australian farms all over the country.
The motion passed senate 52-9, with all present members of The Greens & Derryn Hinch showing the Australian public they couldn't give two stuffs that Aussie farmers are losing their farms, just so the ANZ can recoup money lost in a failed business venture.
Ever since the ANZ acquired the loan book of the failing company Landmark Operations in December of 2009, they have been rewritten contracts & lifted rates to a point where thousands of farmers can no longer afford to make repayments on farms that in many cases, have been run by a single family for multiple generations.
The "Select Committee into Lending to Primary Production Customers" have until the 17th of October to hand in their findings to the Senate, hopefully it will bring some hope & be an early Christmas present to Aussie farmers all over the country, you guys deserve it. Thank your local farmer today, without them we all starve.
